Diann Bauer is an artist and writer based in London. Much of her current work is collaborative and interdisciplinary. Ongoing projects include: Laboria Cuboniks (laboriacuboniks.net)
A working group redefining a feminism adequate to a global 21st century with whom she wrote and published Xenofeminism, A Politics for Alienation in 2015. It has now been translated into 10 languages. Recently they have participated in a collaborative project with H.A.U.S. (robotics lab, TU,Vienna) towards a performative event call Vermögen-The Future of Demonstration.
She has written for publications including Harvard Design Magazine and Angelaki, Journal of the Theoretical Humanities. She will be a guest artist at CERN and is currently working towards an exhibition with Arts at CERN that will open at FACT in Liverpool in 2018, traveling on to Barcelona, Nantes, Brussels and CERN.

N. Adriana Knouf is an Assistant Professor of Cinema and Media Studies at Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA. She is a media scholar and artist researching noise, interferences, boundaries, and limits in media technologies and communication. Her current research project, The Xenology Notebooks, explores practices of “making strange”in terrestrial and extraterrestrial media. This includes new performance works for humans, drones, satellites, and radio transmission. She is also the author of How Noise Matters to Finance (2016) and numerous scholarly articles about such varied topics as surveillance, networking, papermaking, radio, satellites, and video games and feminism.
The DIAP MFA Annual exhibition showcases works by current and past students of the Digital & Interdisciplinary Art Practice [DIAP] MFA Program. The works on view show research practices ranging from the personal to the political some artists explore gender representation and history, while others employ dance and collaboration.
The exhibition is on view at CCNY’s Art Department Gallery located on the ground floor in the Compton Goethals building, room 134.
